CMP Goals
- To analyze the mathematics achievement of first semester college students,
particularly in relation to their secondary school mathematics backgrounds
- To deliberate with members of both college and school communities about
ways to increase student success in college mathematics
CMP Methodology
- Deliberative Inquiry - a proven methodology for combining research
with deliberations over future action by stakeholders
- Problems of practice drive the research questions; results of research drive the
stakeholder deliberations; and stakeholder deliberations drive changes in policy and practice.
- Results include recommendations for change and people committed to implementing change
